Back in the Shop: Bou-chique's First Day All Together of 2025!
2025 is officially here, and we’re diving into the new year with plenty of energy and exciting plans for Bou-Chique! The start of the year always feels like a clean slate, and we’re ready to make the most of it.
We spent our first day of 2025 all together in the shop, organising, planning, and soaking in the new possibilities ahead. I had three diaries in hand—because one is never enough when it comes to keeping track of everything! One for daily tasks, another for creative inspiration, and the third for the big plans we have for Bou-Chique.
The energy was upbeat as Jill arrived, bringing a little warmth with her. It also meant we could dive into the selection of delicious scones from Paticake Patisserie. The lemon and blueberry flavor was out of this world—sweet, tangy, and perfectly crumbly. We paired them with hot tea from Fat Unicorn, and it was the perfect way to start the year. We didn’t quite manage to finish them all, but they were definitely a treat!
As for stock, we’re still in the process of adding more new items, but there are definitely some beautiful things already gracing the shelves. A few new pieces have arrived, and we’re excited to get more in the coming weeks. We spent part of the day photographing the current stock to make sure everything looks just right, ready for you to browse and enjoy.
Now, onto the window situation. If you’ve been by the shop recently, you’ll know that the temporary wooden board is still in place, following the unfortunate burglary that led to the window being smashed. It’s been a challenge, but we’re making do. However, we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new glass to replace the broken one. We won’t miss the makeshift wooden cover when it’s gone, but for now, it’s holding things together. The new window will bring in more light and restore the shop to its full, welcoming charm.
And speaking of the shop, we’re so grateful for all the lovely customers who have been popping in. Your support and friendly faces are what make Bou-Chique feel truly special. We love hearing your stories, sharing a laugh, and seeing your excitement when you find something perfect. It makes everything we do here so worthwhile.
So, here’s to a fresh start in 2025! We’ve got so many exciting things planned—new stock, new ideas, and of course, more moments of joy to share with all of you.
